Sound Healing
Certification Retreat

March 8–13, 2027 · Guatemala

Learn the art and practice of guiding meaningful sound journeys.

Led by Dan Byrne of Cymatic Harmony,
in collaboration with Holistic University.

The experience

The art, science, and soul of sound.

Learn how frequency, resonance, instruments, and tones shape physical, emotional, and energetic experience. Then bring that understanding into practice by designing grounded sound journeys for individuals and groups.

More than theory, the retreat centers embodiment and facilitation: setting intention, building energy, supporting integration, and holding safe, grounded spaces. The last cohort showed that presence, openness, and a willingness to learn matter more than arriving with all the skills.

Voices from
the Retreat

Some arrived experienced. Others came with no musical background. On this land, they found skilled teachers, room to explore, and a community where they belonged.

Your guide

Dan Byrne

Dan founded Cymatic Harmony in 2019 to share the unique voice of the handpan. His work soon expanded into breathwork, immersive sound healing, retreats, workshops, and education.

He has guided sound experiences at wellness retreats, festivals, community gatherings, family sessions, weddings, and creative events around the world. At the center of his work is a belief that sound can bring us back into harmony, within ourselves and with one another.

Listen deeply. Hold space with intention. Share sound in a way that feels grounded and expansive.

Questions before the journey

Common questions.

Do I need sound healing experience or musical training?

No. The training begins with the foundations of frequency, resonance, vibration, and instrument technique, then builds toward facilitation. Previous participants arrived with everything from established practices to no musical background.

Do I need to bring my own instruments?

No. A wide range of sound healing instruments is provided for hands-on exploration throughout the retreat, giving you the chance to experience different tones, textures, and tools within a complete sound journey.

How much of the retreat is hands-on?

This is not six days of lectures. Teaching and live demonstration move into instruments-in-hand practice, supervised one-to-one and group facilitation, peer feedback, and evening sound journeys.

What will I learn to facilitate?

You will learn to shape a complete sound journey from grounding and intention through building energy, peak experience, and integration. The training also develops pacing, purposeful instrument use, trauma-aware space holding, and the ability to support meaningful inner experiences with care.

What does the certification prepare me to do?

The Cymatic Harmony Sound Healing Certification gives you a structured foundation for guiding individual and group sound journeys. It also covers ethical boundaries, emotional release, creating offerings, pricing, communication, and building a sustainable sound healing practice.

What are the meals and integration time like?

Community meals are woven into the retreat rhythm, not treated as an afterthought. Focused training alternates with shared meals and spacious time at Maestro Valley and in the surrounding jungle, giving the learning time to settle and the community time to form.

Can I attend solo or share a room?

Yes. Choose the dorm for $2,900, a Private Tiny Cabin for $3,500 solo or $6,000 shared, a Private Pyramid for $3,800 solo or $6,500 shared, or the Private Loft with Private Bathroom for $3,900 solo or $6,600 shared.

What happens when I book an alignment call?

You will speak directly with Dan about your goals, experience, the training, and current room availability. If the retreat feels aligned, you can confirm your room and place, receive the enrollment details, and prepare for the journey to Maestro Valley.
